“Excuse me, Flo?”
Oh boy…I made the above image and the new header to say “finding the flow” and by that I mean….I sure do WISH I could find my flow.
Man, this elementary art teaching thing has some serious ups and downs. Today, being a down day, looked and sounded a lot like an orchestra. Yea, today was an orchestra except I teach art and I don’t know anything about music. I know when things sound bad but I sure as heck have no idea how to fix them. We were out of tune, playing in the off beats, breaking instruments, and my ear drums – bursting! Ouch…orchestra in the art room is a bad thing.
I left school discouraged and told myself to let it go. I knew if I could not shake today’s music mishap I would enter tomorrow with major tone deaf. And we need a conductor! We need an art teacher who can successfully direct 7 class periods of students who are eager to paint, print, cut, glue, and let their creative juices flow.
Flow? Right. Let’s let the juices flow. I’ll do my best to keep finding my flow.
and just for laughs,
Lloyd: Excuse me, Flo?
[Harry and Lloyd crack up]
Lloyd: Flo, like the TV show. Uh, what is the Soup Du Jour?
Flo, Waitress #1: It’s the Soup of the Day.
Lloyd: Mmmm. That sounds good. I’ll have that.
