A Thanksgiving Story.

Instead of layering on the long underwear and clicking into the Salomon and Nordikas, we kicked off our Chaco’s and rolled up our jeans.  Spending Thanksgiving in the sunshine and surf was great.  Although I would never mess with Christmas, I am okay with changing things up for Thanksgiving.  And for those who know me, know that I am all for shaking things up a bit.

We set out in the rain and found some tasty coffee.  We made our way back to Ben’s and when the raindrops cleared up, we navigated our way up and down the oh.so.charming craftsman bungalow neighborhoods.  We finished up the drive across the bay to the isthmus of Coronado.  Dan and I took it easy on the shore and in the falling tide before soaking up some serious sun.  When Ben met back up with us, we checked out the insides of the famous Hotel Del Coronado before heading back to North Park for our home-cooked dinner.  Our chicken and veggie feast was mighty good and the after dinner entertainment was enjoyable as well.  For anyone who missed Ratatouille – you should definitely enjoy it over some Candy Cane Joe Joe’s (from Trader Joe’s!) with good friends.

Man, vacations are the best.

Last day details to come tomorrow.
