The Smoothie King

The Perfect Smoothie:

What you need:

-about 6 ice cubes

-1 frozen banana, in the peel

-about a cup of fruit juice (I like the Naked Mango juice from Costco)

-about a cup of frozen fruit-blueberries, strawberries, or peaches are great (we are using our leftover Palisade peaches that we froze)

-a great blender!

First, pre-blend about 6 ice cubes then add the fruit juice.  Microwave the frozen banana (peel and all) for about 15-20 second which is just enough time to slit the peel and plop the banana in the blender.  Next, add the frozen fruits and blend away!  The secret ingredient to this recipe is really the blender.  We used to have an awful blender but we got a Jack LaLanne Health Master 100 for Dan’s birthday.  What a lame name but I think it is exactly like the fancy $400-$500 Vitamix blender from Costco only it is a fraction of the price!  Thanks Ma-Ma and Pa-Pa!

Behold, the best blender ever!

Well, I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  Our deck progress has been slow but we enjoyed a nice Sunday at church and then in Downtown Denver.  Dan and I even picked up some new tennis rackets at the good old Sports Authority.  I’ll keep you posted on that new hobbie.

I better head to bed, it is a subbing week for me at my old school and I have to be there at 6:20AM.  No school should ever start that early!  Happy Monday to you all!
